November 30, 2006

NATS LogoThe Virginia Independent School Football Association (VISFA) has unanimously approved to activate the American Football Coaches Association’s (AFCA) NATS program. With the addition of Virginia, 13 states are presently scheduled to conduct a total of 17 NATS Tests during the 2007 campaign.

"The Virginia Independent School Football Association was the first independent association to contact NATS regarding activation. This further establishes NATS as a truely standardized athletic testing system. The NATS program is available to all state coaching associations (public or private)" said AFCA Executive Director Grant Teaff.

Ed HomerVISFA member Coach Ed Homer added "it doesn’t matter if a student athlete goes to a private school, public school, or even a school in a different state. All high school players are welcome to attend our associations’ NATS Test and take advantage of all of the year round academic and athletic services NATS provides, especially the Player Profiler and the Core Course Calculator."

The VISFA will conduct their NATS Test in the spring/summer of 2007. All high school players from all grades and all schools (public or private) are invited to attend.
